Penny Bretl Joins Thiele Technologies as Director of Organizational Empowerment MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Oct. 27, 2006 - Larry Smith, President and CEO of Thiele Technologies, Inc., and David Gianini, Vice President of Human Resources at Barry-Wehmiller Companies, Inc., have announced the appointment of Penny Bretl to the position of Director of Organizational Empowerment for Thiele Technologies. Bretl will assume her duties on Saturday, Oct. 28 during PACK EXPO International 2006 in Chicago.
In her new position, Bretl will be responsible for the human resource activities throughout Thiele and will play a key role in Thiele's continuing journey to becoming a World Class Organization in concert with parent company Barry-Wehmiller, which integrates the Lean Enterprise system with its Guiding Principles of Leadership.
"Penny is uniquely qualified for this new challenge, having spent nine years as a human resource manager for several divisions of Remmele Engineering, a Minnesota-based manufacturer of custom automated manufacturing equipment," Smith stated. "In this position, she combined strategic and tactical approaches that allowed her to develop and implement processes to enable the organization to meet its goals."
Prior to Remmele, Bretl held human resource manager and generalist positions with Great Lakes Aviation and Aveda Corporation. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and has held PHR certification in Human Resources since 1998. Bretl and her family are longtime residents of Stillwater, Minn.
