ISaGRAF Software Included in Recently-Launched PLC Application Kit that Provides Low-Cost PLC Alternative
Montreal, Canada- October 12, 2006 - ICS Triplex ISaGRAF Inc., the leading automation software technology partner, announced today that its flagship product ISaGRAF is the software of choice for Rabbit Semiconductor's new Embedded PLC Application Kit.
Rabbit Semiconductor, Inc., in collaboration with OEM Technology Solutions, recently announced the availability of their new Embedded PLC Application Kit, which offers Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) developers the ability to use Rabbit Semiconductor's low-cost hardware as a replacement for more expensive PLC systems.
The Rabbit Embedded PLC Application kit includes all of the hardware and software required to develop this low-cost PLC replacement system: the ISaGRAF Application Workbench, ISaGRAF programming cable, and the Rabbit BL2500 single board computer with embedded micro PLC firmware kernel.
The use of the supplied ISaGRAF Workbench offers a smooth transition for traditional PLC programmers. The ISaGRAF Workbench provides tools for editing, debugging, code generation, documentation, library management, archiving, on-line monitoring, off-line simulation and on-line changes. The ISaGRAF control engine is already in use in hundreds of thousands of controllers around the world in a variety of automation products including PLCs, embedded controllers, Distributed Control Systems (DCSs), Remote Terminal Units (RTUs), Computer Numerical Control (CNC) systems and motion controllers.
ISaGRAF provides a complete programming environment for the development of highly portable applications. It fully supports six automation languages: the five IEC 61131-3 languages plus Flow Chart. This flexibility enables developers to choose the language that best suits their knowledge, style and the nature of the application. ISaGRAF is fully compliant with the IEC 61131 standard, which is recognized worldwide as the standard for programmable controllers.
