Southfield, MICHIGAN, August, 2006 - Pathtrace Systems, Inc. makers of EdgeCAM, are a sponsor of the BattleBots IQ program showcased at IMTS 2006 at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL, September 6th - 13th, 2006. As part of our on-going commitment to education, Pathtrace will sponsor "The Pulverizer", a giant hammer that presents an additional obstacle to the battling robots students build.

Commenting on Battlebots IQ, Steve Sivitter, CEO, Pathtrace Systems, Inc. stated, "Education is a very important market for EdgeCAM. As a Student Friendly exhibitor and by participating in initiatives such as this, we are encouraging a new generation of engineers to develop their skills."

Battlebots IQ (BBIQ) is an educational program created by the producers of the wildly successful Battlebots television series. In 2001, the BBIQ program was launched comprising of a prepared curriculum for robotics and mechanical engineering, teacher training and a national competition where middle and high schools compete for top honors. Manufacturing and technology sectors have been impressed with what BBIQ has done for work force development, and creating awareness of the manufacturing industry.
