Salesforce.com Previews New Winter '07 Analytics and Dashboard Mash-Up Capabilities

LONDON, Sept. 13 - Salesforce.com (NYSE:CRM), the technology and market leader in on-demand business services, today announced additional new customization features of Winter '07, including delivering full componentization of its analytical dashboards -- allowing customers, developers, and partners to create, share, and combine new components that analyze and present data from Salesforce and partner solutions. Business Objects (Nasdaq: BOBJ; Euronext Paris ISIN code: FR0004026250 - BOB), the world's leading provider of business intelligence solutions, today announced that Crystal Xcelsius(TM) will integrate within the new Salesforce dashboard framework, available in the Winter '07 release, as the first partner to participate in this new analytics mash-up category. The powerful new analytics dashboard mash-up capabilities will enable salesforce.com customers and subscribers to easily create, share and manage business presentations and dashboards directly in their Salesforce implementations. The announcement was made today at a salesforce.com AppExchange event in London where Crystal Xcelsius was demonstrated.

Salesforce Winter '07 is scheduled for availability in the fourth quarter and will drive forward a new era of unlimited freedom, collaboration and success for customers. Customers who purchase salesforce.com applications should make their purchase decisions based upon features that are currently available.

Business Objects' announcement of Crystal Xcelsius within the new Salesforce dashboard framework extends the power of Salesforce dashboards, delivering an interactive visualization solution to help better present business data to customers, prospects and colleagues. Now for the first time, customers can pick and choose the best analytical components from a rich variety of industry leaders and combine them into a single view or dashboard. This new capability in Winter '07 will empower the salesforce.com developer and partner community to create, share, and list new components on the AppExchange, giving customers unparalleled choice.

Customers can create complex what-if scenarios, do supply-chain analysis, Web analytics, profit analysis and more by using the new Winter '07 analytics mash-up capabilities to insert any application component into a dashboard.
