Salesforce.com Previews Winter '07: Unlimited Customization Takes Multi-Tenancy to the Next Level of Success
21st Generation of Award-Winning Application and Platform Planned for Availability in Fourth Quarter
SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 6 -- Salesforce.com (NYSE:CRM), the market and technology leader in on-demand business services, today previewed Salesforce Winter '07, the 21st generation of its industry- leading family of on-demand business applications. Salesforce Winter '07 is scheduled for availability in the fourth quarter and will drive forward a new era of unlimited freedom, collaboration and success for customers. Leveraging Salesforce's multi-tenant architecture, Winter '07 will deliver unprecedented customization across every level of the service from the user interface to the AppExchange development platform. Winter '07 will deliver the next generation desktop for The Business Web, enabling customers to tailor their user interface, personal workflows, activities, and tasks in one place. Based on AJAX for optimal usability and interactivity, the Business Web desktop ensures that users at companies of all sizes will continue to maintain high adoption of on-demand business services. New features of Winter '07 include:
