J8 Summit Goes Interactive with Promethean Technology
LONDON, June 22/ / -- Promethean, a global leader in the provision of interactive learning and assessment tools, is helping young people to have their say on political issues by collaborating in this years J8 summit. Taking place this July in St. Petersburg the J8 summit is a Morgan Stanley International Federation, initiative. Promethean will also be working alongside UNICEF and the Russian Ministry of Education and Science
The J8 summit, involving schools from across the G8 countries, will see young people participating in a Junior G8 style forum. The group, selected through a competition and including young people selected by UNICEF, will discuss similar topics to those being debated at the G8 summit, as well as other global issues of interest to young people.
"Getting young people to engage in discussion and voice opinions can be tough enough without bringing politics into the mix," commented Mark Bardoe, Group Marketing Director of Promethean. "Being able to provide technology that will not only allow important voices to be heard, but also motivate young people to take part in the decision making process is a fantastic opportunity."
As part of Prometheans commitment to the initiative they will also be providing training for each of the winning schools to enable them to make the most of their new technology.
