FKI Logistex Easypick Voice Now Compatible with New Mobile Computing Units Mobile devices enable users to interact with pick-to-voice and other warehouse applications simultaneously
(Cincinnati, Ohio, USA: May 26, 2006) FKI Logistex® (www.fkilogistex.com), a global leader in integrated material handling solutions, announces that its EASYpick® Voice order fulfillment system is now compatible with select mobile computing units available from the industry's top manufacturers, including Symbol® Technologies, Intermec® Technologies, and LXE®.
Mobile computing units, which resemble PDAs, offer touch screens, bar code and RFID scanning compatibility, and rugged construction designed specifically to handle the demands of warehouse work. These units can be intermixed with traditional dedicated voice devices throughout the warehouse to provide necessary staff with additional functionality and flexibility.
Mobile systems can interact with EASYpick Voice and additional applications simultaneously, including other FKI Logistex software and control applications. This feature frees the units to multitask with other software and systems, adding to their versatility and cost-effectiveness. Warehouse staff can use EASYpick Voice for picking while accessing applications needed for other functions, such as shipping, receiving, and inventory tracking.
The FKI Logistex EASYpick order fulfillment system, including its light- and voice-directed picking products, easily integrates with existing WMS, ERP, or Legacy systems and is fully compatible with FKI Logistex voice-certified mobile computing units.
