Company cites tight CAD-integration and UGS dependability as key selection factors; Teamcenter to provide enhanced new product development capability to more than 300 engineers
PLANO, Texas and SANDVIKEN, Sweden - UGS Corp., a leading global provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services and Sandvik Mining and Construction, the world's leading supplier of mining equipment, today announced Sandvik has selected Teamcenter(TM) software, UGS' digital lifecycle management solution and the world's most widely used PLM portfolio, as the backbone for its PLM program.
Following an extensive evaluation of competing vendors, Sandvik Mining and Construction selected UGS' PLM software, consulting and implementation services to deliver an integrated enterprise repository to more than 300 engineers to provide predictable output through repeatable controlled processes and to facilitate new product development.
