Toronto, Canada - GAO Fiber Optics (www.GAOFiberOptics.com) is offering its 3Com compatible 1000Base-LX SFP transceiver which is fully compatible with original 3Com fiber optic transceivers. It is suitable for fiber channel switches, metro/access networks, Gigabit Ethernet links and other optical links.
This high performance, cost effective transceiver, model C011P102, provides standard AC coupled CML for high speed signals, LVTTL control and monitoring of signals. It is designed for single-mode fiber (SMF) and operates at a nominal wavelength of 1310 nm. It offers a large data rate of up to 1.25 Gbps and has a transmission distance up to 20 km.
This optical transceiver consists of two sections: the receiver section has an integrated GaAs detector preamplifier (IDP) mounted in an optical header, and the transmitter has a 1310 nm FP laser. It consumes little power. In addition, the transceiver is compliant with SFP Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) Specification and SFF-8472.
