3-D Video Offers Up-Close Look at Eriez® PokerSort® in Action
Erie, PA - A three dimensional (3D) video produced by Eriez® captures the revolutionary PokerSort® in action removing long, troublesome pokers from shredded material. The two-minute video, which is best viewed using red and blue style 3D glasses, is posted on the Eriez website as well as the company’s YouTube channel.
“We created this video to enable viewers to virtually experience the sheer power of PokerSort,” says Mike Shattuck, Product Manager-Recycling. “It provides a front row seat to watch this incredible machine in operation removing hard-to-handle poker materials directly from the shred before the drum magnet. Automotive leaf springs, tie rods, steering and axle component--as well as other generally uncooperative long shapes--are no match for PokerSort.”
As pokers exit the shredder, alignment guides on the incline conveyor position these objects parallel in the flow. As pokers reach the end of the conveyor, they extend beyond the conveyor and are magnetically pulled over the PokerSort to a chute or conveyor belt and then collect in a bin or bunker.
These belt-driven units are 18-inches in diameter and available in a range of sizes from 36 to 96-inches wide. In most cases, a PokerSort can be retrofitted to meet existing ferrous processing set-ups.
