Press release date: January 17, 2012

Erie, PA - Making the most efficient and economical selection of lifting magnets to pile, unpile, lift and move steel plates and shapes requires a full knowledge of the application. That's why Eriez® is offering a 24-page Lifting Magnet brochure (MB-2300) to educate customers on the company's various Lifting Magnet models and appropriate uses of these powerful industrial magnets.

Magnets can be used to lift and transfer steel and iron of any weight and shape without slings, hooks or cables--and without marring the surface. They require fewer operators and helpers, and when properly installed and operated, provide greater safety than many other mechanical materials handling devices.

The helpful brochure takes readers through the many SafeHold® Permanent Lifting Magnet models and Eriez' complete line of electric lift magnets. Models include the SafeHold APL Series, EPL Series, MPL Series, RPL Series and XPL Series. Also highlighted are Eriez' Selecto® Continuous-Duty Electro Lifting Magnet line, the Rectangular Electro Lifting Magnet line and lift magnet controls.

According to the literature, Permanent Lift Magnets are available in capacities up to 10,000 lbs. (4,535 kgs) while Electric Lift Magnets are available in capacities up to 59,000 lbs. (26,761 kgs). The brochure features specifications and line drawings for each lifting magnet, plus photos that demonstrate the type of industrial applications most suited for each model.

Online users can download a PDF version of the Eriez Lift Magnet brochure by visiting http://www.eriez.com/Products/SafeholdPermanentLiftingMagnets/. A hard copy can be obtained by contacting Eriez and requesting brochure MB-2300.
