Act Now: Last Chance to Register for 2011 ANSI Accreditation Workshops
Press release date: November 14, 2011
There's still time to register for the American National Standards Institute's (ANSI) final two accreditation workshops scheduled for 2011. Held at ANSI's Washington, DC, headquarters, the Institute's highly esteemed workshops are led by nationally recognized experts in the field:
Certificate Issuers' Accreditation Workshop December 8-9, 2011 This two-day workshop will introduce the American National Standard ASTM E2659-09, Standard Practice for Certificate Programs, and the Institute's Certificate Accreditation Program, or ANSI-CAP. Attendees will learn about the requirements for developing a quality education/training course with an assessment at the end to determine if the learning outcomes have been achieved. The workshop covers such areas as: terminology, significance and use of the standard, requirements for certificate issuers, and certificate program and certificate issuance and use.
This workshop is of interest to corporations, organizations, government agencies, and others that are issuing "certificates" based on a training or education course(s), and stakeholders (such as HR directors) who are accepting individuals with "certificates" into their organizations.
Register for the December 8-9 course.
Personnel Certification Accreditation Workshop December 14-15, 2011 This two-day workshop is designed to introduce interested stakeholders to the international standard ANSI/ISO/IEC 17024, General requirements for bodies operating certification schemes for persons. Discussions focus on building an understanding of the standard's requirements, its benefits, and why it has become the benchmark for personnel certification.
This workshop is geared toward representatives of corporations, organizations, government agencies, and others who either operate personnel certification programs or wish to learn more about the ANSI accreditation process.

Held at ANSI's Washington, DC, headquarters, these courses run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on both days. For more information, visit ANSI's education and training page.
