In wheel electric motors, new software for cars, and new driver warning and assist mechanisms were just some of the innovations on display along with Weiss-Aug's custom solutions at the 2010 SAE Convergence Show in Detroit on October 19th and October 20th, 2010. The show was very successful and Weiss-Aug engaged in many meetings with engineers from various automotive companies. There was much discussion regarding solutions for battery packs, and how Weiss-Aug's customized solutions address strength and stability in venting, caps, thermal protection and other areas for lithium ion technology. Weiss-Aug also spoke with several companies regarding the receptacle and plug in handle for electric vehicle charging.
