Luxury Packaging for Evoka from M&H Plastics
The packaging produced for the Evoka range was designed to position the product at the highest end of the Health & Beauty category. Marketed by A. S. Watson, the international retail conglomerate, the product sought to lift the Health and Beauty based products to occupy space alongside high end perfumes. With their extensive knowledge in this area M&H Plastics, part of the RPC Group of companies, was selected to manufacture the complex packaging.
M&H Plastics was able to produce a luxurious finish for the packs, using flat based Boston round PET bottles, tubes and PET jars, all of which can be easily recycled. These were then decorated with a matt lacquer upon which were screened the icons, logos and also the distinctive latitude and longitude varnish lines to evoke the travel element and the sense of exclusivity. The resultant form offers an aesthetic associated with perfume quality packaging and also an upmarket tactile feel. The reflection of light that the varnish lines provided also created an eye-catching element in store. A unique luxury feature completed the package - a natural, sustainable wooden closure developed to suit the cultural themes of the brand.
M&H was able to bring many elements of packaging technology together to produce these bottles, tubes and jars: designing and manufacturing in house to enable A.S. Watson and Evoka to present a premium family of products within exclusive retail outlets.
