During numerous trade shows in 2014, Morningstar Corporation will be showcasing its complete portfolio of off-grid solar charge controllers, inverters and accessories including its three newest products:
- TriStar MPPT 30 Amp Charge Controller
- TriStar MPPT 600 Volt Charge Controller
- Ground Fault Protection Device
The new 30 amp version of the TriStar MPPT charge controller embodies all the features and capabilities of our current 45 amp version but with a lower price point. This controller is an excellent choice for systems that don't require the extra amperage.
Morningstar's TriStar MPPT 600 Volt Charge Controller is the ideal solution for off-grid photovoltaic (PV) systems with long wire runs from the solar array to the controller. System costs are reduced because a 600 volt PV array enables easier installation and reduced cable diameter requirements between the array and the controller.
The Morningstar Ground Fault Protection Device (GFPD) meets the requirements of the U.S. National Electric Code and is a superior solution for system protection. Other alternatives use fuses that require replacement, an especially difficult problem for remote sites. The Morningstar GFPD leaves the battery and DC loads grounded under all conditions for better protection against fires or electrical shock.
