20 Years of Quality Parts and Service at AVION Technologies
Avion Technologies Inc., in Mississauga, Ontario, marked a major milestone in 2015 by celebrating 20 years of customer service excellence as a manufacturer of high quality gears, components and sub-assemblies for the world’s most demanding customers primarily in the aerospace and defence industries.
Avion Technologies Inc. was founded in 1995 by Harjit S. Chana who carried out all production operations from a small industrial unit until 2000. Rapid growth of Avion Technologies’ customer base in the new millennium, however, resulted in the company’s re-location to a large facility in Mississauga, Ontario, just south of Toronto’s Pearson International Airport.
The company received its first ISO certification in 2001, which opened the doors to new opportunities in aerospace, nuclear, and defense. Avion landed its first contract with US Department of Defence for ground vehicles in 2004. Avion soon ventured into aerospace manufacturing and by 2007, was AS9100 certified. Today, Avion’s parts fly on major programs ranging from the Legacy DHC-6 Twin Otter to the Boeing 787 Dreamliner Jet.
“We continue to strive towards our goals of conformance to order requirements, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement of our organization in order to meet increased demand within tighter deadlines as we strive to keep up with assembly lines that are pushing out record numbers of aircraft every year”, says Paul Chana, VP of Sales Engineering at Avion Technologies Inc.
Avion attributes the company’s achievement of this 20 -year milestone to its employees, customers and suppliers since close relationships between each have been crucial to Avion’s success over the past two decades.
