Lancaster, NY: As part of the GT and High-Performance dual exhaust package, the factory installed these reinforcement plates to support the muffler hangers. Without these supports, the stock factory floor pan could suffer metal fatigue from the weight of the dual exhaust system. These plates will properly support the exhaust, preventing floor pan warping damage.
Classic Tube's reinforcement plates are the same gauge metal as the factory originals and are pre-drilled for the hanger stud brackets. To provide concours originality, they are exact reproductions of the Ford factory stampings.
The configurations of the right and left plates are identical to the OEM parts, and the 1966 models even have additional holes provided for seatbelt nutplate access. The incredible detail of these plates include the factory stamping creases on the bottom edge. Classic Tube is proud to say that these plates are made in the U.S.A with U.S. materials. For 1965 you'll need Part #6511161-L for the left plate and #6511161-R for the right plate. For the 1966 seat belt plates order Part #6511162-L and #6511162-R. Retail price is $29.95 each.
