Following the Success of Ogo1 (Pocket Web)
BELMONT, California, March 4 - IXI Mobile, Inc (OTC: IXMO) today announced 1&1 Internet AG, one of Europe's leading Internet providers, will launch Ogo2.0 in Germany.
The launch of Ogo2.0 builds on IXI's successful relationship with 1&1 Internet. 1&1 is a leading Internet Service Provider. 1&1 will include the new black Ogo2.0 in 1&1's 'Mobile Internet' offering starting in the second quarter of 2008.
"Following the success of the Pocket Web (Ogo1) in the German market, it is naturally the next step to launch the next generation - Ogo2.0 - in Germany," said Robert Hoffmann, Chief of Consumer-Products from 1&1 Internet AG. "Ogo2.0's multimedia capabilities, telephony without headsets, improved user interface and updated design all cater to the needs of our customers and will be offered as part of 1&1's Mobile Internet offering," said Hoffmann.
In addition to supporting major instant messaging programs, Ogo2.0 provides, e-mail, SMS, web browsing, voice and multimedia services including music, images and video playback.
With 1&1's 'Mobile Internet' tariff plan, Ogo2.0 will be available by two flat-fee options; one including unlimited e-mails, web browsing and instant messaging, and the other plan also includes phone service to German landlines and the entire 1&1 mobile network. Ogo2.0's predecessor, known as 'Pocket Web,' will continue to be offered by 1&1.
