Toyota Ranked Number One Lift Truck Supplier in Plant Services' Reader's Choice Awards

IRVINE, Calif., (May 15, 2006) - Toyota Material Handling, U.S.A., Inc. (TMHU) today announced it has been ranked the number one lift truck supplier in Plant Services' Reader's Choice Awards. Toyota received the most votes of any lift truck manufacturer in the fill-in-the-blank survey to receive the top ranking.

The annual survey polled 40,000 Plant Services readers, including technicians, supervisors, engineers and plant managers, and asked them to identify the lift truck supplier that offers the best value. The magazine defined best value as the product delivering a combination of functionality, durability and low maintenance to equal the lowest estimated lifecycle cost.

"It is always an honor to be ranked number one by the people who use our products on a daily basis," said Melinda Beckett-Maines, national marketing manager for TMHU. "This survey holds particular importance because there was no multiple choice involved. Respondents actually named Toyota based on their experience."

Plant Services' goal for the survey was to provide its readers with a reference guide to vendors that provide the highest value as named by their peers. Awards were given in 60 categories, including electrical systems, fluid handling, heating and cooling, material handling, power transmission, predictive technologies, tools and supplies and services.
