"Supplier Management" Presentation and Dinner Meeting September 19, 2013


MAIN PROGRAM: 

As companies rely more on their supply chain to help them achieve their strategic objectives, procurement organizations are increasingly expected to not only deliver on cost savings, but to help optimize supply chain performance through supplier risk management, performance monitoring, and relationship management. This presentation will look at some building blocks for designing a supplier management program that aims to effectively and consistently manage suppliers to ensure successful outcomes.



ABOUT THE SPEAKER:

Felix Ofungwu is a Director at Alvarez Marsal Business Consulting, LLC.  Felix has over 10 years of experience in consulting and executive management across various corporate settings, from start-up to fortune 50 companies. He has expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and corporate strategy. Prior to A&M, Felix was a consultant with A.T. Kearney and Accel Advisors. He also co-founded and ran a mobile financial services start-up venture.



Felix has led strategic sourcing, supplier management, and procurement improvement projects across various industries including Retail, Gaming and Hospitality, Financial Services, Pharmaceuticals, Consumer Products, Healthcare, Telecommunications, and Industrial Products.  Some of his previous clients include Lowes, Johnson & Johnson, Guardian Life Insurance Company, Caesars Entertainment, and Winn-Dixie.  He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, as well as a BS (with distinction) in Economics from Purdue University.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:

Elaine Griffith is the Procurement Director at Sirius XM Radio.  With 20+ years of indirect services procurement experience, Elaine has worked for several FMCG’s companies including Diageo, NA; Allied Domecq Spirits & Wine; The Paddington Corporation (Grand Metropolitan); and Nestle USA.    A graduate of Pace University with a degree in Business Administration, Elaine also holds certifications from Institute of Supply Management, Dale Carnegie Institute as well as Toastmasters International.  Elaine is an ISM-7 Counties Executive Board Member and Immediate Past President.  She and her husband Bill are parents of three children and reside in New York.
