Macon, France - Sescoi International SAS today announced that version 4 of its WorkPLAN Enterprise system for project-based manufacturing has achieved SAP-certified integration with SAP® applications. Through this integration, data can be exchanged between the WorkPLAN Enterprise system and the SAP ERP application. Companies will then be able to benefit from the specialized manufacturing and project-management tools built into WorkPLAN Enterprise, geared towards maximizing productivity and efficiency.
The SAP Integration and Certification Center (SAP ICC) has certified that WorkPLAN Enterprise V4 integrates with SAP ERP 6.0 via the "plant data collection - shop-floor control" (PP-PDC 4.6) integration scenario.

The WorkPLAN Enterprise system can receive jobs or task lists from SAP ERP, detailing parts and quantities of components to be produced. The software then manages the manufacturing process, including the production planning and scheduling, production performance monitoring, and recording the time spent on each task by each employee or machine in real time, using touch screens, bar-code readers or data-entry forms. Project-based departments or companies will particularly benefit from the WorkPLAN Enterprise system, enabling them to manage the complete lifecycle of their products in the software, providing a history of engineering changes, quality compliance, and the resources used.
As production proceeds, data can be fed back into the SAP solution in the form of time taken, events completed and parts produced. Details such as set-up times, processing times, teardown times, quantities completed, reworked or scrapped can be included in the information flow. Real-time recording of this information in WorkPLAN Enterprise helps keep the SAP solution-based system up to date, producing a dynamic exchange of data, and safeguards the business information, so when it's presented to managers, it reflects the true and current status of manufacture.
Global and midsized companies also using SAP solutions will benefit from this new integration, which will enable them to optimize the performance of specialized areas within their organizations, such as engineering departments or manufacturing units of molds, dies or prototypes. Specifically, they will benefit from the specialist manufacturing management expertise built into WorkPLAN Enterprise.
