New keyword search engine
San Diego, Calif. - Octobr 13, 2010 - Pulse, a Technitrol Company (NYSE: TNL), a worldwide leader in electronic component and subassembly design and manufacturing, announces its new Product Finder feature on the www.pulseeng.com website. The Pulse Product Finder is a search engine that makes it simple to find Pulse products, compare them to similar products on the market, determine the correct product for particular parameters, and easily access the data sheets.
"Taking care of each customer and customizing service and support to provide exactly what our customers need has always been a major emphasis at Pulse," said Pulse worldwide field applications director Mark Jackson. "Our new Product Finder lets users find the part they need for their particular application, compare that part to other parts available on the market, get a sample or quote for that part, order the part, or get additional information or design and application support from a Pulse representative in their area."
With the Product Finder you can search Pulse products by keyword or part number. Pulse's products are divided into these product marketing groups: antennas, audio, automotive, connectors, LAN, military & aerospace, power, RF & wireless, and telecom. Selecting the desired group on the website takes you to a page which is divided into product lines for that group. For example, the power group has 8 product lines such as common mode chokes, inductors, and 50/60Hz encapsulated transformers. You can delve further into those product lines for individual parts and their datasheets.
The Product Finder is located in a green box on the right side of the home page. Below the Product Finder search engine block are links to search by group, product line, dynamic filter attribute, IC cross reference, competitor cross reference, and data sheet. There are also links to contact information, distributors, representatives' offices, quote/sample forms and information, the Pulse product catalog, and a literature request.
The section called Dynamic Filtering Attributes lets you go to a product line and select the attributes you need. The product finder then displays a part or parts that have those features. For example, if you click on ETHERNET MAGNETIC TRANSFORMERS, you can then select attributes such as speed, number of ports, application, package, temperature, and package height. The IC and Competitor Cross Reference Search tool lets you look up Pulse product equivalents for a variety of competitors' and IC manufacturers' products.
