Paints & Coatings

Broadband Anti-Reflection Coatings come as standard options.

December 17, 2014

YAG-BBAR broadband coating provides <1.0% reflectance per surface over its 500–1,100 nm wavelength range and absolute reflectance of <0.25% where it is optimized at 532 and 1,064 nm. Offering extended UV performance, VIS-EXT BBAR reduces reflection from 350–700 nm and provides <0.5% average reflectance per surface over its 350–700 nm range. Both broadband anti-reflection (BBAR) coatings are offered off-the-shelf on PCX lenses and can be applied to any uncoated optics. Read More

Interferometer Mirrors provide 99.8+% reflectivity. .

December 10, 2014

Providing greater than 99.8% reflectivity for S and P polarization, Gires-Tournois Interferometer Mirrors are optical standing wave-resonators that are primarily used in chirping applications such as pulse compression. Units use partially reflective front surface and highly reflective back surface to generate chromatic dispersion. Available in 4 RoHS-compliant, 25.4 mm diameter models in wavelengths from 780–820 nm and 1020–1060 nm, mirrors feature group delay dispersion from -250 to -600 fs². Read More

Durable, Low Loss Laser Mirrors feature >99.9% reflectivity.

November 14, 2014

For applications requiring max reflectance at given wavelength range and angle of incidence, Low Loss Laser Mirrors feature damage thresholds of 12 J/cm², 10 nm at 1,064 nm. Ion beam sputtered coatings promote repeatabilty and tight tolerances, while UV Fused Silica substrate and 1/8 λ surface accuracy help maintain optimal image quality. Designed for 0° or 45° angles of incidence, RoHS-compliant optical mirrors are available with diameters of 25.4 mm for 355, 532, and 1,064 nm wavelengths. Read More

Telecentric Lenses provide selectable field of view.

October 30, 2014

Available in 0.5X–1.0X and 1.0X–3.0X options, TECHSPEC® Variable Magnification Telecentric Lenses feature resolutions of >20% at 75 lp/mm across fields of view ranging from 2.93–17.96 mm. Adjustable iris allows for depth of field control for flexibility in variety of gauging and measurement applications. Featuring C-mount compatible design with 2/3 in. sensor coverage, adjustable f/6 lenses exhibit typical telecentricity of <0.1° and distortion of <0.1% at 588 nm. Read More

Telecentric Lenses work with up to 16 MP resolution sensors.

October 23, 2014

Designed for semiconductor and electronics inspection, measurement, and gauging applications, TECHSPEC® High Resolution Telecentric Lenses for 1 in. Sensors feature high-light throughput f/6 designs while exhibiting <0.1° telecentricity and <0.1% distortion. Double-sided telecentric design promotes sharp image while minimizing errors for optimal measurement accuracy. Lenses support up to 16 mm max diagonal sensors and accommodate up to 16 MP resolution sensors. Read More

Cube Beamsplitters target uncollimated light sources.

October 10, 2014

With wire grid polarizer cemented between 2 right angle prisms made of N-BK7 substrate, Wire Grid Polarizing Cube Beamsplitters are designed for applications using uncollimated light, including broadband white light sources. Anti-reflection coating is applied to each face of beamsplitter, which provides less than 0.5% average reflection per surface. Maintaining spectral contrast from 400–700 nm over cone angle of +25°, beamsplitters provide greater than 75% transmission of P-polarized light. Read More

Telecentric Measuring Lenses offer in-line illumination.

September 30, 2014

Available in 0.5, 0.75, and 2.0 X primary magnifications, ECHSPEC® Silver Series is optimized for both on-line and off-line machine vision production environments that require accurate measurements. Double telecentric lenses correct perspective errors that yield magnification variations through depth of field. Units feature non-focusing mechanical design with lockable, adjustable iris control. With in-line illumination port, lenses are suited for inspection of specular and semi-specular parts. Read More

Radial Polarization Converters reduce laser beam spot size.

September 4, 2014

Radial Polarization Converters, manufactured from UV fused silica substrate, are S-waveplates that convert linear polarization to radial or azimuthal polarization. Able to be used to create optical vortex or doughnut beam, products produce radially polarized light, feature 5 mm apertures, and come in 632, 800, and 1,030 nm wavelength models with 25.4 mm OD. Other features include damage thresholds of 20 J/cm² at 3.5 ns and 1,064 nm, 20-10 surface quality, and 1/8 λ surface accuracy. Read More
