PC-Based Film helps smart card manufacturers increase security.

November 14, 2014

LEXAN™ SD film overlay enables smart card, passport, and e-ID manufacturers to integrate security features using UV laser-technology. Specifically, end-users can apply ghost image into card or document and create tactile, white marking which fluoresces under UV light – all during personalization phase – to foster design flexibility. This transparent, polycarbonate (PC)-based material will become available in 50 and 100 micron gauges and can be laminated. Read More

Additive Resins extend performance of thermoset systems.

August 20, 2012

Noryl SA90 resin, designed as additive for epoxy and cyanate ester-based thermosets, provides low dielectric constant and loss factor to enable 1-10 GHz performance in epoxy-based PCBs. Noryl SA9000 resin provides low dielectric constant and loss for performance up to 20 GHz in non-epoxy based thermoset systems. Both low molecular weight, bi-functional oligomers provide moisture stability and minimized loading of non-halogenated flame retardants. Read More
