I work in a factory, and I am 37 years old.

My work history seems to be that my longest job length is 5 years.

I have been at my current job for 6 years now. I only get 2 weeks vacation.

I left my other jobs because of stresses or just plain being bored with the job.

I have to save one week vacation for july 4th shutdown. So I really only have one week for myself.

I feel at 37 this is a tough struggle. I really need more time off. I dont care if I dont get paid for it, just let me have an outside work life.

Now I really feel sorry for the new lady, who worked at a company for 17 years, and now is starting at my employers company.

She is probably in her 50's and lost all her vacation because her company shut down. Now she is left with starting over again. That is so NOT FAIR!

I have started over many times, now I have to wait till I get 9 years in for my whole 3 weeks vacation. Where did my experience get me.

On top of that, if I call off a day, they dock my pay $1.25 an hour for 4 weeks.

This country needs to fix time off for the older, more experienced employees. We have family everywhere in US and no time to see them physically.

Upset employee and US citizen.

Obviously we need some kind of vacation laws to give people a needed break from the workplace environment.
