Author Biography: Dave Nelson (Rochester, MI), Patricia E. Moody (Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA), and Jonathan R. Stegner (Clarkston, MI) together are the authors of The Purchasing Machine. Moody is also coauthor of The Kaizen Blitz and The Perfect Engine. All three authors are stars in the supply chain field. Moody was profiled in Fortune magazine as one of ten pioneering women in manufacturing. She consults for companies including Cisco Systems, Honda, Motorola, and Johnson & Johnson. Nelson is VP of Worldwide Supply Management for John Deere and led the growth of Honda's Purchasing Division, which earned the Medal of Professional Excellence from Purchasing magazine. Stegner is Director of Sourcing at Deere and has over 25 years in the field.
