I will never do social media. I have worked in process service, PI shops, and repo. I’ve sold to the industrial security and law enforcement industry and dated a cop. When I worked at IBM, I met hackers – very motivated people. I’ve read the article “Epic Fail” in InfoWeek 10/10.
Everyone should look at their computers and what they can and cannot do for them very, very clearly. Every person on this planet should read the book: “Your Secrets are My Business” by Kevin McKeown, Dave Stern and do the exercises at the end of each chapter. I think the social media and marketing has great potential and as much danger. I have always thought you should be very guarded about what you share. If you have any doubt, don’t share it. Anyone planning on involvement in this area would be wise to read the related books and understand the risks before venturing in.
