Burning Question

President Obama recently announced conditional commitments for a total of $8.33 billion in loan guarantees for the construction and operation of two new nuclear reactors at a plant in Georgia. The project is “only the beginning” for nuclear power in the U.S., the president said.

    Should of never backed off years ago. We need to re-develop our capabilities again.

    Development of nuclear power is long overdue. Unfortunately the environmental coalitions have created many roadblocks and the country is paying the price. We have spent BILLIONS of dollars preparing Yucca Mountain as a storage place for nuclear waste – and now the same environmentalists want us to start over.

    Let’s all encourage anyone and everyone to push for forward motion.
