Clean nuclear energy is only providing 18% of our nation’s energy. France is dependent on nuclear energy for 78%, the French economy would be mired in a terminable recession if it applied our nuclear energy standards. In the not to distant future, burgeoning technology will allow us to recycle the spent fuel rods back into the process. I would triple the U.S. nuclear energy to somewhere around 54% to provide Americans with a cheap, efficient, and increasingly safer energy source moving forward into this 21st century.

Medical research projects that attack cancer, heart and stroke and spinal cord injury issues get my vote. Reducing greenhouse gases, reliance on petroleum energy and reducing polution doesn’t need more research, it takes action because we know enough to make changes in those fields.

There is no doubt that the development of renewable resources for energy is the most critical and indeed exigent matter for us to solve.
We need a real business leader, to Marshall all available forces and resources to this end.
Every student in grades 6 and up through college should have this as a class project.
Trade schools and businesses should gather, whether on internet or through representatives, and connect to the schools, and apprenticeships should be rekindled in this new wave of thinking.
In the meantime, a compact and interchangeable battery should be developed with smaller streamlined gas tanks giving the room, to add to every model of car made after at least 2000, perhaps, even 1990.
Every gas station, should have re-chargers and these universal batteries (like the micro-ships and processors we now have) available.
Every school should be revamped with entirely energy independent systems.
We should set a deadline, to be completely petrol and natural gas free (at least for fuel sources) by 2010 and no later.
We should set this goal, like going to the moon, and in fact, instead of the plan to go to the moon again (wasting precious fuel/energy).
Like the highway program of FDR and or the moon project of JFK, this should be a massive, job producing program.
We would reestablish dominance in the marketplace, reduce tensions (war), and right our forward thinking leadership in the world.
This should not be nuclear (The waste we still do not know what to do with is far too dangerous, including as weapon material that too easily can fall into the wrong hands).
It should not deal with food as fuel (such as corn) food is food, especially when people are starving to death, and in light of the fact it takes fuel resources to grow food.
I believe electromagnetic energy (The gyro comes to mind) as well as helium will be additional new ways as well as better harnessing the sun, and possibly fusion.
The internet should have websites, goals, awards all listed, this could be done in stages of accomplishment.Sincerely,
Gloria J. Savage

No need to say more than what rest of the world believe in, with respect to to energy and its efficient use for human welfare, but I would say, need not to go for other substitute / alternate for energy, but we need to find the safe way to use the existing means of energy, I mean we have enough stock of ” radio active material” which can be use in place of other trace stuff, I mean petroliam stuff available today.
A step ahead I say there a lot of tellents are able to do it very easily.Yes Atomic Power is the best source of energy, and all at last that will be the only source for. That time is not far away.We should take some concreate steps in this direction.
Altimately you can find my interet of funding in !

The big bucks award would go to a workable and economically viable version of Hydrogen Fusion Power Generation. If we continue on the road with hydrocarbon fuels we are facing disaster, both economic and enviromental. Hydrocarbons are so much more valuable for their chemical content than their energy content.

It would have to be a project that worked with both solar energy and energy input from human physical exercise also finding a way to cool off our planet(artic ice is melting).

First, let’s get some perspective.
Who/what would be the best beneficiary of the project? Answer: all mankind.
What would be the best result of the project? Answer: All of mankind would not be afraid to talk to each other because no one would afraid of a differing opinion.
What is needed most to do the project? Answer: Leaders who lead by example, to counteract managers who manage by extortive edict.
What would be the first result of the project? Answer: No more fear of contributive labor to disagree with suppressive management.
What would happen next? Answer: Ideas would finally flow openly on how to actually solve other problems, instead of energy continually being expended to impose expedient stopgaps upon scapegoated labor by misbegotten management to preserve and extend managements over-promotedness.
And finally, what societal “ill” would be cured thusly? Answer: That would be the most perennial and pernicious “ill” of all mankind down throughout all of man’s existence. That would be “Bureausis”… that compulsion to control everything other than one’s self.

Yes, I know this is not an industrial project. But, with leaders working with labor, instead of managers continuing to squelch labor, little issues will become resolved, then bigger issues will be successfully addressed, and finally big projects can become accomplished, with economic and environmental soundness like never before (until some control-compulsive decides to take credit for it all in order to gain control of it… again)

The science project that serves large mass of users, economic production, difficult to copy,at
least in few years, and used daily even the profit
margin is minimum. It has to be intelegent, simple
to use and usefull.Versatility is beaty.
Most anticivilization citizens considers death as a natural phenomenon. They cannot accept the responsibilty of a biologically immortal conscious human being. Neocheaters and professional mystics made them think so!
As ABC Funding Company, our resources will be spent on stem cell research and cloning through Neo-Tech’s RIBI (Research Institute on Biological Immortality).
